The band performed a number of famous ceremonial and marching music which cheered the
recruits as they beautifully displayed their parade
Ministry of Tourism Vera Kamtukule on Monday hailed the Malawi Prisons
Brass Band for an amazing artistic performance during a pass out of 84 newly recruited park
rangers at Kasungu National Park.
The band performed a number of famous ceremonial and marching music which cheered the
recruits as they beautifully displayed their parade to showcase excitement after the completion
of a 10-week training.
Onlookers and invitees showed signs of enthrallment through smiles and hands of applause.
Kamtukule started her speech by expressing how chilled she was with the music before urging
the new recruits to always display good comduct as they have joined the service which needs
good manners while serving people and animals at once.
She said: “I wish this ceremony was held outside the park so that the communities have a feel of
this atmosphere. I hope boys and girls would have been motivated to join this service which is
the center of holding the tourism sector, I’m very captivated.”
Popular Roman Catholic song titled Chuma Chathuchi was one of the songs which the band
played instrumentally.
